Currently all of the e-Volf electric motorbikes commercialized in Europe have portable plug & play batteries.

How much does the battery weight?

Depending on the model, it weights between 8.3kg and 11kg and has a handle to conveniently hand-carry and charge it at home or in your office standard plugs.

Do you need a special plug to charge the electric batteries?

e-Volf electric scooter batteries can be charged in any plug from your home or office, as simply as your laptop or cellphone. You can also charge them without detaching them, just by connecting one head of the charger cable directly to a plug on the surface of the motorbike, and the other one to a public charging stations such those in petrol stations or garages.

What sort of gears have e-Volf electric motorbikes?

All of our models have automatic gears.

May I drive inside the free emissions zone of the cities with an e-Volf electric motorcycle?

Yes, since they are 100% electric vehicles, they are classified legally as electric battery vehicles (EBV) and may carry the official blue sticker that allows driving without restrictions in any part of the cities in Europe.

How long is the guarantee?

All our electric motorcycles have a guarantee of two years except for those parts subject to mechanical wear.

Aside of contributing to a cleaner World, what is the real advantage of e-Volf electric scooters compared to the gas ones?

Mainly they are economic advantages as almost not have maintenance costs, the cost of the consumed electricity is minimal and they enjoy discounts on license plate registration fees and vehicle taxes.

Are e-Volf electric motorcycles type-approved for the UE and therefore eligible to obtain a registered license plate?

Yes, they are entitled with the mandatory certificates and therefore can apply for a valid license plate in the UE.

Can I drive my e-Volf electric motorbike without a license plate?

No, they must have a license plate to drive on public roads.

What sort of driving license do I need to drive e-Volf electric scooters?

As they are type-approved as a moped, it is enough to have an AM license, but having A1, A2, A or B type license would be valid too.

Do I need vehicle insurance for my e-Volf electric motorbike?

Yes, you need a moped-type insurance. Some insurance companies have specific offers for electric motorbikes.

Do I need to pass a mandatory ITV technical inspection for my e-Volf electric motorbikes?

Yes, and since they are classified as “two-wheeled moped”, the first inspection is due after three years from the date of the first plate registration and then every two years.

What is the minimum legal age to drive e-Volf electric scooters?

As they are mopeds, the minimum age is 15 years old.
